Dogs Days of Summer

I have always heard the phrase "Dog Days of Summer" but never realized that it is an actual thing. The ancient Romans called the hottest, most humid days of summer “diēs caniculārēs" or “dog days." The name came about because they associated the hottest days of summer with the star Sirius. Sirius was known as the “Dog Star" because it was the brightest star in the constellation Canis Major (Large Dog). This year it starts on July 12th and ends August 20th. In honor of "dog days of summer" Patches and Cameron wanted to show everyone what they have been up to this summer.

  • Here is Patches with one of his favorite Thibaut pattern Tanzania. He loves this pattern because it has spots like him.

  • On busy days you can find Patches relaxing on our super comfortable chair from Thibaut during his break.

  • Cameron loves to greet customers when they come to the shop. She has found the perfect spot by the door so she is ready whenever someone comes in.

  • Cameron helped Patrick as quality control while he installed Schumacher's Chiang Mia Dragon in our showroom. She thinks he did an awesome job and loves the pattern.

  • He also went on a job and helped install some cork wallpaper on a ceiling.

  • Patches recently helped out with our showroom renovation.

  • Here is a finished shot of the area Patches helped with installing the cork on the ceiling. Cameron tried to help. She is a work in progress.

  • When Cameron is not working at the shop she likes to hang out and relax in the air-condition as she is not a big fan of the heat.
